Families: We help residential homeowners (where kids and pets co-exist) create a home that is comfortable, beautiful and aligns with their busy lifestyles. We make it possible for our clients to live comfortably with style. It is possible to have elegance your way.
One Day Design: We also enjoy working to solve an immediate design dilemma that can be solved with simply a new perspective and design knowledge. We offer a Designer for a Day package to give you a fresh new design in one room or area in a short period of time.
New Homeowners/Sellers/Realtors: We work with new homeowners figuring out what to do next after a move into a new home. And we also do home staging.
Renters: For those that are not ready to purchase a home, but you want your rental to feel like your home.
Downsizing Design: We help those that are moving to smaller homes decide what to keep, what to move on from and what to add to their new space.
Bed & Breakfasts: We also enjoy helping bed & breakfasts and small inns designing well- appointed guest rooms and common area, as s. As well as bathroom design and renovation.
How is Timeless Interiors different from other interior designers?
We understand that laundry and messes happen. Sometimes you just need a fresh perspective about how to manage those messes. We don't judge- we want to help! You will find Rachel's personality to be warm and understanding and easy to work with. Rachel helps you to understand that your design style doesn't have to be sacrificed for having a busy life. Also, Rachel grew up here in Connecticut, and values that New England is rich in tradition and she appreciates classic design and architecture. She understands the delicate nature of historic structures and the balance of preservation and modern living. And Rachel's past experience in the hospitality industry gives her a unique perspective with bed and breakfast design.
Does Timeless Interiors work with smaller non-renovation projects?
Yes! All the time. We can help with re-design using what you already own, shopping services, color consulting or space planning. Is Timeless Interiors by Rachel Schemmerling a member of any associations and what is her level of education?
In interior design, the education never ends. Rachel is constantly attending seminars, trade shows and participating in learning opportunities that enhance her design work. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from The University of New Haven. She also has an Associate Degree in Interior Design and in Hospitality Management. Rachel is a member of IDS-the Interior Design Society, The Middlesex Chamber of Commerce, The Newcomer's Club, The Killingworth Historical Society. She is a former member of the Killingworth Women's Organization where she was the committe chair of decorating the library for their annual fundraising wine tasting. She is a member of The Congregational Church of Killingworth, where she co-chaired the Preservation 2020 Committee to raise funds for renovations to the 200 year old structure. And she is also Allied member of ALP, the Association of Lodging Professionals.
